About

Trust first. Then everything else.

Autism policy in Florida is scattered across statutes, agency rules, voting records, and campaign websites. Families shouldn't need a law degree and a free weekend to figure out what's happening. We pull it together, source every piece, and show it to you plainly.

A quiet lakeside path with a bench in soft morning light.

Why we lead with the record

A lot of organizations lead with a message. We lead with the facts. Before we ask anyone to act, we want to earn the right to be believed. So we source everything, treat every candidate the same, and tell you when we don't know something yet.

What we do

Access

Access

We track where Florida candidates stand on eight autism-related issues, in their own words and votes. No scores. No endorsements.

Voice

Voice

We give families, self-advocates, and educators the tools to speak up with confidence, starting with plain-language prep for the meetings that matter.

Belonging

Belonging

We create spaces where autistic people and their families can simply show up, starting with sensory-friendly movie screenings.

Where we're starting

Right here in Polk County. This election cycle, we're covering the Governor's race and Polk County's state and congressional races, using public records. We're building toward full statewide coverage for 2028, including a questionnaire that goes to every candidate on the ballot.

Who we are

I started The Loop Initiative in Polk County because finding clear answers about autism policy took far more time than it should. I wanted one calm place where families could see the record plainly, with every piece sourced. We're building it one careful step at a time.
